These digital illustrations were completed at the National Institute of Health for the Genetics Home Reference (GHR) website. GHR receives an average of 2.5 million visitors a month, so it was very important for us to develop an art style that is clear, informative, and appealing to the consumer audience. I established a workflow starting with a drawing of a base image, which is then modified and elaborated upon for subsequent illustrations. This allowed me to produce multiple related illustrations efficiently.
